Freakonomics Radio – How to Become Great at Just About Anything

Freakonomics Radio

Normally I use podcasts as sleeping aids. I just pop on a BBC World News or Stuff You Should Know and try as much as I’d like I am soon whisked off to slumber. While I could not resist the pull of the pillow, I was forced to wake up this morning and give this one a second listen.

The Freakonomics team are in the middle of their Self-Improvement Month series, and today’s topic was based on a book called Peak: Secrets from the New Science of Expertise by Anders Ericsson and Robert Pool.

I will be adding this book to the review list (as soon as I have a review list) but in the interim, I highly recommend you head over to the podcast and give it a listen, especially if you are a fan of development, practice or Malcolm Gladwell’s Outliers.
